Qualifications:

• Applicants must have earned their Ph.D. in Computer Science or a closely related field and have demonstrated
excellence in teaching and scholarship.

• Applicants should demonstrate awareness of and sensitivity to the educational goals of a multicultural population
as might have been gained in cross-cultural study, training, teaching and other comparable experience.

• Preference will be given to candidates with teaching, research, and/or industry experience in the following areas:
Data Structures and Algorithms, Data Science, Databases, Computer Graphics, Human Computer Interaction,
Cybersecurity, and Computer Science Education. Candidates with teaching and research experience in
interdisciplinary fields will be seriously considered.

Responsibilities:
The department's faculty members are expected to teach, supervise, and advise students in both the undergraduate and
graduate programs, and to establish a successful research program related to his/her field of interest. Additionally, faculty
members will participate in department, college, and university committee and other service assignments. Candidates
must address the needs of a student population of great diversity - in age, cultural background, ethnicity, primary
language and academic preparation - through course materials, teaching strategies and advising. The standard academic
year course load for tenured and tenure-track faculty is equivalent to eight courses, generally with course reductions for
scholarly or creative work.

Salary Range:
Commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Starting Date: August 17, 2018.
