Duties and Responsibilities
The non-tenure track Assistant Professor faculty will teach BSW and/or MSW classes across all program formats for the School of Social Work. This person will also coordinate the Loyola University Chicago, School of Social Work, Advanced Certified Alcohol and Other Drug Counselor Training Program ( CADC Program). The successful candidate s teaching load will be commensurate to other assigned activities. In addition, the position requires participating in assigned and elected committees.

Minimum Education and/or Social Work Experience:
CADC certification in the state of Illinois
MSW /MA in social work required, LCSW and/or Ph.D./ DSW preferred
Five years post MSW and CADC certification practice experience in the alcohol and other drug treatment field
Evidence of prior teaching experience
Willingness to teach in an on-line environment
Some administrative experience preferred

Qualifications
CADC certification in the state of Illinois
Five years of relevant professional experience in the alcohol and other drug treatment field
Competency in program administration, development, and evaluation
Candidate must demonstrate an active and engaged teaching agenda, and have the ability to teach courses in clinical practice
Candidate must have the ability to teach core courses consistent with the School s mission in the MSW and BSW programs.
Candidate will be expected to teach 8 courses per year; typically including two summer term courses
Candidate will be expected to teach across campuses, including Lake Shore and Water Tower in Chicago, IL, and Carthage College in Kenosha, WI
Candidate will contribute to school service through committee work within the School and at the University level.
