Summary of Position Teach undergraduate Criminal Law and Procedures course in the Legal Studies program, in a face-to-face setting in Big Rapids, Michigan with a willingness to learn Blackboard as a course management tool. Additionally, faculty will participate in collaborative efforts to foster course enhancement, teaching effectiveness, and assessment of student learning. The College of Business is dedicated to providing a learning experience for its students that instills knowledge, competencies, and skills for entry level positions and job advancement in their chosen careers. To facilitate this, faculty are expected to be student oriented and able to integrate current technology into the learning environment. Office hours are required; one office hour per week for each course taught. This is a pooled position. One or more applicants may be hired as needed to teach classes on a semester-by-semester basis.

Required Qualifications

Required Education Juris Doctorate.

Required Work Experience Three years law practice experience in criminal prosecution or criminal defense.
Strong oral and written communication skills.

Required Licenses and Certifications Must have an active license to practice law in Michigan.

Additional Education/Experiences to be Considered

Additional Education/Experiences to be Considered Five years law practice experience in criminal prosecution or criminal defense.
Experience working with paralegals or legal assistants.
