Duties and Responsibilities
The Department of Cell and Molecular Physiology at Loyola University Chicago, Stritch School of Medicine ( SSOM ) seeks applicants for tenure-track positions at the ASSISTANT PROFESSOR , ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR and PROFESSOR level.
We seek senior colleagues to lead divisions, and junior colleagues to build on our strengths, in cellular and systems physiology, particularly, in heart disease. Departmental faculty are also actively engaged in research on aging, metabolomics, proteomics, molecular neuroscience and biophysics. Departmental research areas, resources, and facilities are described here: www.stritch.luc.edu/depts/physio.
The SSOM is undergoing rapid growth in all its basic departments and we seek innovators to advance studies that span basic and clinical investigations. Laboratory space will be in the newly-constructed Center for Translational Research and Education (www.luc.edu/ctre). The faculty applicant will be expected to sustain an independent, externally-funded research program, and contribute to graduate and medical education. Candidates must have a doctoral degree and postdoctoral experience with strong publication records. Established investigators should have a strong record of research productivity and extramural support.
