Auburn University at Montgomery is a coeducational public university located in Montgomery, Alabama. It is the metropolitan campus of Auburn University. AUM offers programs of study leading to Bachelor's, Master's and specialist degrees in Business, Education, Liberal Arts, Nursing, and Science. In addition, AUM offers Doctorates in the three programs in the conjunction with Auburn University. The university enrolls approximately 5,000 students, with an additional 10,000 enrolled in continuing education programs. The Department of Information Systems in the College of Business at Auburn University Montgomery (AUM) is seeking applicants for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position beginning Fall 2018 to teach undergraduate, graduate business statistics, quantitative methods, and data analytics courses.
Required Qualifications:
Candidates must have a Ph.D. or be ABD from an accredited institution in statistics. Candidates with ABD should successfully defend their dissertation by the date of hire. The candidate will be expected to participate in research and scholarly activities consistent with AACSB expectation, and engage in service activities within the department, college, university, profession and community. Generally, teaching requirements at AUM will span undergraduate and graduate programs with a teaching load of three 3-hour courses in each Fall and Spring for a total of six courses during the academic year, as long as graduate faculty status is retained.
