Position Summary: The incumbent will coordinate work of the Media and Audio Visual (AV) team by setting priorities, assigning work, and ensuring deadlines are met. The position will contribute directly to the team by working hand-on with the production studio, video shooting and editing, live event support, and supporting classroom audio and video needs.


Duties and Responsibilities: Prioritize and respond to requests for media and video support, service calls, events for college and community activities both on and off campus. Support filming and sound in the production studio, as well as on site video shoots and live events such as commencement. Support requests for a wide variety of video and audio needs. Work directly with media and AV staff on multifaceted projects. Evaluate, design, request acquisition, install, maintain, upgrade, troubleshoot, repair audiovisual equipment, and perform periodic equipment maintenance checks both on and off campus. This includes live events, classrooms, conference rooms, as well as video teleconference rooms. Coordinates with audiovisual integrators for new and update to any systems. Supervise and train media and AV staff. Distribute and maintain documentation for audiovisual equipment check-outs to employees. Maintain equipment and parts inventory; ensure proper disposal of equipment. Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and three years of media production or audio visual support OR an Associate's degree and five years of media production or audio visual support. One year of supervisory experience and/or three years of experience within a media production or audio visual support team environment.

Preferred Qualifications: Ability to write, compile, update, and install audiovisual programs. Strong knowledge of video editing programs. Knowledge of studio lighting and sound design.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Work Characteristics: Intermediate computer skills to include experience with Microsoft applications. Video editing skills. Ability to read, edit, and write computer or electronic code. Basic networking skills and basic networking troubleshooting. Ability to configure and control live audio and video events. Ability to diagnose audiovisual problems by utilizing industry best practices, troubleshooting techniques, technical manuals, diagnostic information, and analytical skills. Ability to prioritize and multi-task. Ability to effectively interface with a diverse audience. Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently. Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Pay Rate: 40,200.00 - 48,743.00 annual salary depending on experience
