Full Time Lecturer of Mathematics/Computer Science

Job Summary/Basic Function:	Description Primary responsibilities will include teaching sections of Mathematics, Computer Science or Engineering in support of the University System of Georgia Core curriculum and advising students. The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science offers a baccalaureate degree in Mathematics and Mathematics with Secondary Education Certification. Gordon State College has served the community and region continuously since its founding in 1852 and has been a unit in the University System of Georgia since 1972. Gordon was named a state college in 2006 and developed four-year programs to address critical state needs. GSC now offers twelve distinct baccalaureate programs. Gordon State College is in Barnesville, Georgia, located an hour south of Atlanta, Georgia. Students and faculty enjoy the pleasures of small town living together with access to the many attractions of a major metropolitan center and an international airport. Commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching with special attention to needs of diverse populations, and prior teaching experience at the collegiate level is preferred.
