Assistant Director for Academic Integrity Education & Marketing

Position Summary:
The Office of Undergraduate Academic Integrity is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Assistant Director for Academic Integrity Education & Marketing. The institution recently implemented a learning-centered academic integrity process. This position is an integral part of our efforts to support and promote a culture of honesty and integrity. The person in this position will be expected to function with a high level of independence grounded in a thorough understanding of the purpose, policies, and procedures of associated with responding to student disciplinary matters. This position will also be expected to lead and implement strategies designed to educate the campus community under the direction of the Assistant Provost for Academic Strategy. This position will also maintain a direct working relationship with other key stakeholders at the University. This position will require occasional night and weekend work.
The Assistant Director for Academic Integrity Education & Marketing is a member of the Office of Undergraduate Academic Integrity staff and has primary responsibility for leading the university's efforts of educating the campus community on academic integrity. This position will specifically be responsible for developing and leading the following in the Office of Undergraduate Academic Integrity: assessment, educational programming, development of examination proctoring program, marketing, oversight of student leaders participating in educational outreach programs, and assisting with case adjudication. This position will also lead the University's efforts to promote the usage of plagiarism detection software through an educational lens.
Duties/Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Serve as instructor for the Academic Integrity Education Seminar.
- Create four Office of Undergraduate Academic Integrity Newsletters each year.
- Provide oversight and coordination for monthly programs designed to promote academic integrity to the campus community.
- Manage and track statistics related to reports of alleged academic misconduct.
- Develop bi-monthly reports, semester reports, yearly reports, newspaper reports on cases, and updates for various governance bodies.
- Assist in the development of Office of Undergraduate Academic Integrity learning outcomes for students.
- Identify and write for recognition, awards, and grant opportunities for the Office of Undergraduate Academic Integrity.
- Oversee all marketing and outreach efforts of the Office of Undergraduate Academic Integrity.
- Lead in the planning and execution of Academic Integrity Week.
- Establish and coordinate a method to provide updates on issues affecting academic integrity using social media and/or the Undergraduate Honor System website.
- Develop and implement recognition ceremony for members of the Undergraduate Honor System and the campus community who are champions of academic integrity.
- Create and advise of a student organization designed to promote academic integrity through proctoring examinations.
- Serve as student advocate with responsibility for assisting students with navigating University Honor System process.
- Advise faculty members who report alleged academic dishonesty violations when they come into the Office or call with a question and the Assistant Provost/Director or Coordinator of Undergraduate Academic Integrity is not present.
- Collect, evaluate, and record all facts pertaining to Undergraduate Honor System cases and establish document that provides campus with view of types of violations and results of cases.
- Conduct Honor System Presentations to campus community.
- Oversee orientation educational initiatives.
- Provide oversight to campus-wide Turnitin.com initiatives.
- Provide assistance and oversight to students that you are assigned responsibility for helping coordinate case investigation.

Required Qualifications:
- Master's degree in marketing, communication, journalism, English, public administration, student development, higher education, counseling, educational leadership, psychology, statistics, or a related field.
- Experience in higher education, particularly working with marketing/public relations, assessment, student conduct, housing and residence life, faculty affairs, and/or a role that requires extensive collaboration between academic advising and student affairs.
- Experience with Microsoft office suite (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe pdf).
-Strong organizational, management, interpersonal and skills.
- Strong willingness to work with diverse groups.
- Strong customer service in an academic or professional office environment.
- Proven ability to exercise sound judgment and timely decision-making practices to accomplish organizational goals.
- Ability to build relationships with other university, community and global units.
- Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
- Ability to foster a cooperative work environment and work in close knit office as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate at the highest levels of the university.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in marketing, communication, journalism, English, public administration, student development, higher education, counseling, educational leadership, psychology, statistics, or a related field.
- Experience working with InDesign and/or Publisher.
