Program Coordinator - Development and Alumni Relations, Fletcher School

This is a part time position working 17.5 hours per week.

The Fletcher School is the United States first professional graduate school of international affairs. Since 1933, Fletcher s multi-disciplinary education in international relations, law, and business, has prepared the world s leaders to become innovative problem-solvers in government, private sector, and non-governmental organizations. The Fletcher School seeks to fulfill its mission in the most environmentally sensible way possible.

The Office of Development and Alumni Relations keeps Fletcher alumni and friends connected while raising annual and capital funds to meet the School s evolving and priority needs, and wisely stewarding Fletcher s gifts. The Office of Development and Alumni Relations also works closely with the School s administration on strategic initiatives, advisory groups, and special events.

Provides advanced support and coordination for a university Program or Project. Produces a variety of documents, reports and proposals, responds to inquiries and provides detailed information to constituents. Organizes and maintains files and databases; designs and updates applications or other forms for data entry. May assist in updating website and posting social media material. Participates in development of program or project marketing and communications materials, coordinates logistics for meetings and events including travel and arrangements for speakers, provides research assistance, and monitors budgets. Reporting to the Senior Director of Development and Alumni Relations, the Program Coordinator provides complex relationship management and research support for strategic initiatives. The Program Coordinator organizes Board meetings, prepares meeting materials, maintains a comprehensive database of membership of the School s Board of Advisors, Board committees and task forces, and Advisory Groups, and aligns each group s agendas with each other and with the strategic priorities, goals, and activities of the School. S/he collaborates closely with the School s senior administrators, faculty, and centers.


Qualifications:

Basic Requirements:
  • Bachelor s degree and 0-3 years of related office experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • International relations background, experience related to higher education, event planning, and previous work with high-level donors/clients.

Special Work Schedule Requirements:
This position requires some evening work and domestic travel.
