Student Conduct Coordinator

Position Summary:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated colleague who will engage students in intentional conversation and activities that promote deep reflective learning to foster personal growth, community commitment, and civility. We are seeking a highly relational and collaborative professional who is dedicated to helping students reflect on their past behaviors, co-create knowledge, and build skills to help them be successful in the future.
The Student Conduct Coordinators will assist in implementing the vision and mission of Student Conduct by meeting with students and community members to resolve conflict and conduct inconsistent with university expectations. By implementing our engagement model, the conduct coordinator will be responsible for facilitating dialogue that helps promote student success and accountability by bringing resolution to potential violations.
Specifically, the coordinator will coordinate and adjudicate a wide range of cases, including abusive conduct (assault, battery, and harassment), illegal drug, Title IX, and organizational cases. In addition, the coordinator will facilitate cases in the adaptable conflict resolution process. The conduct coordinator will also advise a Student Conduct Committee, serve as a liaison to campus partners, assist with departmental trainings and outreach efforts, help direct major programmatic and educational initiatives, and provide student supervision. Finally, the conduct coordinator will perform critical administrative functions that comply with university, state, and federal guidelines.

Required Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Liberal Arts, or related fields
-Demonstrated work experience in a higher education setting
-Experience with problem solving, making complex decisions, and engaging in difficult conversations
-A high degree of personal/professional integrity, respect for privacy and confidentiality, a sense of ethics and a commitment to educating students
-Ability to work with a diverse student population, demonstrate an appreciation for social justice issues, and an understanding and acceptance of equity, inclusion and diversity concepts in the university community
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:
-Master's degree in Higher Education or related fields
-Professional work experience in student conduct, advising and/or residence life
-Experience in student organization advising
-Experience in conflict/ crisis management and policy interpretation
-Familiarity and demonstrated understanding with topics of abusive conduct, hazing, sexual assault, and gender-based violence
-Knowledge and demonstrated experience in student development
