Visiting Assistant Professor of Political Science

The teaching load is three courses per semester, and the successful candidate will be prepared to teach multiple sections of a core course in political theory as well as electives in the candidate's area of specialization.

The Department of Political Science has a strong record of hiring diverse faculty whose courses expose students to a variety of racial, ethnic, and cultural perspectives, and we are especially interested in candidates whose teaching and research will contribute to the department's commitment to diversity and academic excellence. Evidence of teaching experience, potential teaching excellence, and the promise of being a productive scholar are critically important. By the start date of the position, candidates are expected to have a Ph.D. or be ABD in political science with a sub-field specialization in political theory.
