Assistant Professor of Criminology

Lander University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Criminology to begin in August 2018. A Ph.D. is required and college-level teaching experience is preferred. In addition to courses related to the candidate’s areas of interest, the ability to teach courses in policing and community relations, criminological theory, policy and/or ethics is welcomed.
Lander’s Department of Government, Criminology, and Sociology houses majors in criminology, political science, and sociology and minors in areas such as homeland security, non-profit management, public administration, and pre-law. Criminology has growing interest among Lander students and the major is built upon giving students a wide understanding of the field and its connections to political science and sociology.
Located in the upstate region of South Carolina, Lander is a public comprehensive university committed to teaching in a liberal arts environment and emphasizing experiential learning.
