Office and Administrative Assistant

Position Summary:
The administrative assistant for Information Technology Acquisitions ( ITA ), a unit of Division of Information Technology, reports to the Director, ITA . This position performs a variety of duties including secretarial assistance to the director, department staff and processes paperwork, schedules and manages department activities, assists with the management of subscription based software, ITA's Content Management System ( CMS ) implementation, and acts as a back up for the fixed assets coordinator and at the Software Distribution office.

Required Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience providing administrative support in a professional or academic setting.
- Demonstrated experience with various computer software such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, process documents with careful attention to detail, and meet critical deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively in a team environment and have a positive customer service attitude.
- Content Management System ( CMS ) experience.
- Demonstrated strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Banner or other relational database applications.
- Working knowledge of university policies and procedures.
