Lander University invites applications for a one year Lecturer of Sociology to begin in August 2018.  A master’s degree is required.  A Ph.D. and college-level teaching experience are preferred.  In addition to courses related to the candidate’s areas of interest, the ability to teach courses in social problems, social stratification, and classical sociological theory is welcomed.

Lander’s Department of Government, Criminology, and Sociology houses majors in criminology, political science, and sociology and minors in areas such as homeland security, non-profit management, public administration, and pre-law.  Located in the upstate region of South Carolina, Lander is a public comprehensive university committed to teaching in a liberal arts environment and emphasizing experiential learning.
