Assistant Professor of Special Education

Assistant Professor of Special Education


Position: Tenure-track, nine-month Assistant Professor position beginning in August 2018. 

Qualifications: Earned doctorate in Special Education or closely related field. Candidates should have experience at the university level as well as at least 3 years public school classroom experience (grades Pre-K – 12) and demonstrate potential for scholarly productivity. Preference will be given to candidates with expertise in mild to moderate (high incidence) disabilities, collaboration/co-teaching, and literacy development as well as experience in teaching diverse learners in public schools.

Responsibilities:  Teach undergraduate/graduate education courses, mentor candidates in field –based settings, advise students, engage in scholarly activities and provide service to the University and Greenwood communities.
