CAA Tutor/Supplemental Instruction Leader (Pooled Position)
Job Description
The Center of Academic Achievement is looking for Tutors and/or Supplemental Instruction Leaders to provide tutoring and supplemental instruction support (peer led group study sessions) for peers in courses offered at Florida Gulf Coast University.
Required Qualifications
Have a minimum FGCU Institutional GPA 3.0 or higher and B+ or higher letter grade in the courses you want to cover. Faculty recommendation for each course you want to cover.
Preferred Qualifications
Strong communication and time management skills. Ability to work with diverse student populations.

Salary Range
Tutors $10.00 per hour/ SI Leaders $11.00 per hour
Job Duties
Essential Job Duties
The Tutor/Supplemental Instruction Leader will be responsible for the following duties:
• Facilitate tutoring/review sessions with FGCU students based on assigned courses.
• Maintain a high level of expertise in the subject area that you cover.
• Perform administrative tasks associated with the position.
• Committed to personal growth and education as well as the educational growth and development of your peers.
• Oversee electronic sign-in program for student attendance records.
• Attend trainings throughout the semester, as well as meetings regarding job performance and feedback from your supervisor.
• Uphold academic standards and never complete other students' homework or assignments.
• Respect and facilitate a learning environment in all Center for Academic Achievement. The use of computers and other electronic devices should only be by students for educational purposes.
• Perform additional assignments appropriate to your position when specified.
Other Duties
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
