Position Summary:

This position will further the College's commitment to creating an environment to promote the tenets of diversity and inclusion in and out of the classroom and in our interactions with our campus community. Primary job responsibilities include the development, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of Diversity initiatives.

Serves as a liaison to the Vice President for Student Services relative to College policies and procedures on behalf of Diversity and Inclusion.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop campus cultural activities and programs celebrating diversity broadly.

Design and implement diversity-training programs and workshops for students, faculty, and staff.

Establishes and maintains opportunities for structured dialogue and/or the development of ongoing programmatic activities focused on respectful discourse, civility, and understanding.

Partner with faculty, staff, students, and student organizations as appropriate to offer co-curricular programming to support understanding diversity and inclusion within the College's mission and strategic priorities.

Serve as the advisor to the African American Student Union and/or other appropriate student organizations registered with the Office of Student Engagement and Support.

Supports and executes initiatives approved by the Diversity & Cultural Awareness Committee.

In collaboration with the Diversity & Cultural Awareness Committee and key stakeholders, lead the implementation and assessment of initiatives outlined in the Diversity Strategic Plan.

Develop research and assessment on campus climate to inform best practices to strengthen the conditions of the educational environment and student outcomes.

Work in partnership with the Office of Human Resources to develop resources and educational programs in support of diversity related policies.

Develop and evaluate Institutional Effectiveness plans for the Office of Diversity and Inclusion.

In collaboration with the Grants Administrator, provide leadership for planning and implementation of TBR SERS Grants and other grants that fit within the scope of Diversity & Inclusion.

Ensures compliance of diversity initiatives as mandated by TBR.

Collaborate with the Office of Admissions and the Office of Adult Learners and Veterans Affairs to set strategic direction for the recruitment, yield, and transition for all under-represented populations.

Assist the Assistant Vice President for Student Services with student conduct.



Supervision of staff.



Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications: Master's Degree. Four (4) years higher education experience.

Preferred Qualifications: Community College Experience. Knowledge of Banner. Supervisory experience.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Work Characteristics: Understanding of comprehensive diversity in higher education and key diversity terms and concepts. Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to relate to students in a non-classroom setting. Excellent leadership and organizational skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Understanding of budgetary operations and planning.

Pay Rate: 48,370.00 - 58,646.00 annual salary depending on experience
