Duties and Responsibilities
Loyola University Chicago, College of Arts and Sciences, Department of Psychology, invites applications for a three-year renewable, full-time, non-tenure-track position at the rank of lecturer, beginning fall 2018. Applications are welcome from individuals who are able to teach undergraduate courses in cognitive psychology (both lecture and lab), learning and behavior, statistics, and research methods. The department has 33 full-time faculty, serves 1,000 undergraduate majors, and has PhD programs in clinical, developmental, and social psychology. We also run (jointly with Biology) an undergraduate major in Neuroscience. Two themes that unify the department are (a) Healthy Development in Children, Youth, and Families, and (b) the Psychological Foundations of Social Justice. Teaching responsibilities include 7 courses per year. Successful candidates will have a demonstrated record of excellence in both teaching and student mentorship.
