Summary of Position Teach undergraduate courses in Quality Operations Management in a face-to-face setting with a mixed delivery format on the Big Rapids and/or Grand Rapids campuses. Candidates must be able to demonstrate teaching excellence. The College of Business is dedicated to providing a learning experience for its students that instills knowledge, competencies, and skills for entry level positions and job advancement in their chosen careers. To facilitate this, faculty are expected to be student oriented and able to integrate current technology into the learning environment. Office hours are required; one office hour per week for each course taught. This is a pooled position. One or more applicants may be hired as needed to teach classes on a semester-by-semester basis.

Required Qualifications
Required Education Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
MBA or a Master' degree in related field from an accredited institution.
Required Work Experience Minimum of four years of significant and relevant business/industry experience in operations.
Teaching or experience in operations.
• Demonstrated knowledge of and fluency with the following:
• Continuous quality improvement (quality tools, PDSA , and quality management programs such as lean, Six Sigma, ISO 9001, and Baldrige)
• Operations management and planning (capacity planning, layout and process selection, project management, global location strategies)
• Production & operations management (types of operations, tactical and strategic planning, networks, forecasting)
• Master planning (economic order quantities, inventory management, planning and production control [ MRP & ERP ])
Required Licenses and Certifications

Additional Education/Experiences to be Considered Ph.D.
Three years of teaching experience in undergraduate operations management courses.
Minimum four years of significant and relevant business/industry experience in operations such as: operations manager, industrial engineering, supply chain manager, or an appropriate job field that deals with process efficiency and improvement.
