Energy Auditor

Position Summary:
Reporting to the Energy Engineer, the Energy Auditor will conduct field measurements of critical parameters affecting energy consumption in campus buildings and support the implementation of energy auditing, retro-commissioning, and other energy projects on campus. Candidate will work in a team environment with Facilities Operations to perform investigations of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning ( HVAC ) equipment; energy management control systems ( EMCS )/direct digital control ( DDC ) systems; and lighting, power, or other energy-related systems to identify energy conservation opportunities. The Energy Auditor will help facilitate implementation of projects, initiatives, and programs that reduce energy consumption and demand, save money, and help the environment. Work tasks will involve a combination of office duties and frequent field visits in and around various building sites. The Energy Auditor will have the ability to perform measurement and verification activities to assure implemented projects are generating the projected energy savings.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or associate's degree in engineering, applied science, or technology from an accredited school or university or significant related training and/or experience in energy management, energy auditing, HVAC , or retro-commissioning for commercial buildings.
- Experience conducting energy audits for commercial buildings.
- Experience maintaining and troubleshooting commercial HVAC systems.
- Experience conducting field measurements and data logging.
- Experience using energy audit tools such as infrared camera, combustion analyzer, multi-meter, thermo-anemometer, ultrasonic flow meter, foot-candle meter, etc.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently.
- A valid driver's license is required.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering.
- Journeyman Electrical ( HVAC ) license and ability to receive Master Electrical ( HVAC ) license within two years of employment.
- TAB /Commissioning Certifications.
- CEM certification by AEE .
- Experience using building automation systems such as, Siemens "Apogee", JCI "Metasys", Honeywell "EBI", Trane "Summit", etc.
