TES Research Assistant, Poultry Science

TES is seeking a Research Assistant for the Department of Poultry Science of the College of Agriculture at Auburn University. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: assist with research project planning, management, and execution; coordinate of the availability, use, and maintenance of laboratory equipment, supplies and other key inventories as well as personnel; conduct routine laboratory analyses involving cell culture, Western blotting, cryohistology, and immunofluorescence or immunohistochemistry and fluorescence microscopy including data collection, analysis, and reporting; manage laboratory animal, chemical, biological safety and training records and compliance; assist in the preparation/teaching/conducting of weekly course laboratories and demonstrations; direct the organization and cleaning of laboratory space and equipment; provide technical support, training, and supervision to other laboratory members and visiting researchers.

Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Poultry or Animal Science, Biology, Molecular and Cell Biology or other closely-related field. Excellent interpersonal (written and oral) communication skills, proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint PC computer software, demonstrated effective time management skills and aptitude for rapid adaptation to change, some experience working as a successful team member as well as demonstrated ability to work efficiently and independently are required.

The candidate selected for this position must be able to meet eligibility requirements for work in the United States by the employment date and continue working legally for the proposed term of employment. A commitment to an inclusive and diverse campus environment is required.
