HR Assistant

Position Summary:
Manages the onboarding and hiring processes for hourly wage employees. Communicates regularly with department directors, managers, and supervisors on hiring process updates and changes. Processes wage payroll. Audits and reconciles. Maintains division org chart. Manages the logistics for all division HR initiatives. Acts as the records retention coordinator for all HR documentation. Assists with the coordination of internal and local job fairs to recruiting for VPIT positions.

Required Qualifications:
-Previous customer service experience in a professional office environment.
-Previous administrative experience performing data entry, copying, drafting correspondence, filling and answering the phone.
-Previous experience performing research and maintaining complex spreadsheets and/or databases.
-Previous experience handling confidential information.
-Must be detailed oriented and possess strong organizational skills.
-Previous experience with Microsoft Office Suite or related programs.
-Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals in a diverse community.

Preferred Qualifications:
-Some experience with at least one of the various functional areas of human resources such as recruitment and selection, employee training and development, job analysis, classification and compensation or other related function.
-Previous experience with Banner, PeopleAdmin or similar software applications.
-Previous experience that demonstrates a working knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations.
