Job Description Summary

A Post-doctoral Researcher position is available as soon as possible in the Pharmacogenomics & Molecular biology laboratory at the Harrison School of Pharmacy, Auburn University - a leading Pharmacy School in USA .

This laboratory focuses on identifying the genomic and pharmacogenomic factors governing the wide heterogeneity in human cancers that influence susceptibility, disease progression, clinical aggressiveness, drug sensitivity and eventual anti-cancer drug treatment outcomes. Studies include in vitro drug chemo-sensitivity modeling, next-generation sequencing, SNP discovery, Gene expression profiling, functional genomics, CRISPR technologies, single cell transcriptomics and computational approaches to investigate inter-tumor and intra-tumor heterogeneity.

This position is available immediately. Review of applications will begin on April 1, 2018.

Minimum Qualifications

Ph.D. and/or M.D., or equivalent doctoral degree in biological sciences with significant past wet laboratory research experience, with an emphasis on the techniques of molecular and cellular biology-based research.

The ideal candidate is expected to conduct high-impact, innovative research with scientific rigor, creativity, and ability to work in team and independently.

Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.

Desired Qualifications

Experience with molecular genomics approaches and familiarity with bioinformatic tools used to analyze genomics/gene expression/epigenomics data is desired.
