This position is responsible for articulating and implementing the University's vision for comprehensive internationalization, including planning, coordinating, and administering international programs. In addition to managing the Office of International Programs, the Senior International Officer ( SIO ) supervises two reporting units: the Office of Study Abroad ( OSA ) and the Office of Visa and Immigration Service Advising ( VISA ).

Minimum Qualifications
Earned terminal graduate degree. Considerable academic administrative experience in progressively responsible positions related to international programming and services. Extensive knowledge of internationalization within higher education; understanding of programming and service needs for international students and international partnerships. Considerable knowledge of the problems and challenges of promoting the internationalization of higher education institutions in the U.S. Superior oral and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated track record of securing external funding, some experience in more than one language, and overseas study or work experience abroad.
