Technology Business and Contract Analyst

Position Summary:
At the direction of the Director of Information Technology Procurement & Licensing Solutions, the chief objective of the Technology Business and Contract Analyst is to investigate, identify trends and alternatives, analyze, recommend and manage enterprise software contracts for the Virginia Tech community. In particular, this position will be responsible for the management of the university's various Microsoft and Adobe agreements. Additional responsibilities include the ability to lead projects and work with key functional personnel from ITPALS organizational units to effectively plan the team's work. The successful candidate must assist in setting team priorities, managing workflow and assignments, and have the ability to act as liaison to other project teams, university departments, and contract vendors.

Required Qualifications:
Documented experience in contract management.
Previous experience in working as a member of a team.
Previous experience in setting team priorities, managing workflow and assignments.
Previous project management experience.
Experience in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel.
Ability to read and interpret contractual language.

Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of Oracle relational databases, and similar programming languages desirable.
Knowledge, or demonstrated understanding, of copyright laws and their application.
Accounting or contract management certifications.
Knowledge of State and University policies and procedures.
