Assistant Professor of Computing
Tenure track position
To begin August 2018
Required: Master’s degree in a Computing field or a closely related field is required.
Preferred: PhD in a Computing field or a closely related field is preferred.
Ideal candidates will have sufficient (18) graduate hours to teach in multiple disciplines:
Computer information systems, and either mathematics or statistics
A strong commitment to excellent teaching is essential.
Preference will be given to candidates providing evidence of a record of excellent teaching.
Ability to use computer technology in the support of teaching is desirable.
Contract period is normally nine months.
Normal teaching load is 12 contact hours each semester.
An active professional development plan including scholarly activities and service to the University, the profession, and the community is expected.
