Data administration manages the day-to-day administration and maintenance of employee job and personal data, including establishing employee records for new hires, conducting transactions for changes as a result of promotions, transfers, status changes, employee separations, personal life events, and the collection and approval of time and attendance data.
The Payroll / Data Administration Representative enters, edits, corrects, updates, and maintains accurate information in the HR Information System (PeopleSoft). Responsible for employee data and organizational and/or job information in the system, the Payroll / Data Admin Rep monitors data integrity and, under direction, performs internal audits of HR data processing activities for accuracy and compliance with university policies and federal and state employment laws. Data input or change requests may be submitted on Personnel Action Forms (PAF), electronic Personnel Action Forms (ePAF), employee timesheets, supporting documentation, or through Employee Self-Service. The Payroll / Data Admin Rep reviews forms and paperwork for completeness and accuracy, following up on missing or inaccurate information or approvals, and enters new data or makes changes in the system.
Qualifications:
Basic Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in payroll processing or in a Human Resources environment.
- Experience with PeopleSoft HR suite or equivalent HR-ERP.
- Knowledge of MS Office.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent customer service orientation and strong oral and written communication skills.
- Aptitude for using technology.
- Able to prioritize, meet deadlines, problem-solve and research thoroughly, contribute to peer learning and collaborate in a team environment.
- Associate s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
