This position is the technical subject matter expert for all college financial aid operations. This position is responsible for coding, testing, and deploying fixes and enhancements to COBOL programs that interface with college financial aid systems and performing administration and configuration tasks within college financial aid systems. The position is responsible for troubleshooting all system and integration issues. The position works directly with Financial Aid staff to provide technical consulting and training on all technology-enabled financial aid processes. The position works within the Information Technology Services team to ensure that the needs of Financial Aid are represented for all IT initiatives. The position also serves as the technical liaison to financial aid system vendors, supporting the migration/implementation of a new financial aid system. This position is responsible for supporting the reporting and technical financial aid-related needs of the College. The position is also responsible for providing backup development support for other college applications, as required. This position is required to maintain current working knowledge of financial aid processes, rules, and regulations.
Required Qualifications

• Recent college financial aid systems development experience (3+ years)
• COBOL development experience (2+ years)
• Experience integrating college financial aid systems with other college applications (2+ years)
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of higher education student financial aid requirements and processes as evidenced through directly related professional development
• Recent experience supporting a college financial aid system and financial aid team (3+ years)
