Intramural Coordinator

Position Summary:
Under the supervision of the Assistant Director for Intramural Sports, the Intramural Sports Coordinator administers, assesses, develops, organizes, and promotes a comprehensive Intramural Sports program offering 50+ activities and serving the campus population of 31,000 students and 250+ employees each year. Core functions include program development and management, human resource management, and administrative management.

Required Qualifications:
-Master's degree in Exercise Science, Recreation or Sports Management, Physical Education, or related field OR Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Recreation, Sports Management, Physical Education, or related field and management experience within a comprehensive intramural sports program (relative GA experience is considered).
-Experience recruiting, training, supervising, and developing student employees (i.e., officials, scorekeepers, supervisors, program assistants, graduate assistants).
-Knowledge of a variety of intramural sport activities and experience administering sport leagues and tournaments (i.e., team sports, singles/doubles activities, special events).
-Understanding and proven application of risk management, conflict resolution, and marketing in campus recreation.
-Excellent interpersonal, leadership, organizational, and strategic thinking skills.
- Commitment to the advancement of creative and inclusive recreation.
- Ability to collaborate and support other Recreational Sports programs and staff.

Preferred Qualifications:
-A two-year graduate assistantship in intramural/competitive sports, experience with intramural sports scheduling software (e.g., Fusion IM, IMLeagues), and a current Red Cross instructor certification ( CPR , AED , and First Aid) or ability to become certified.
Demonstrated 1) proficiency at the collegiate level in recreational sports programming and administration, 2) sports officiating background
