ADJUNCT PROFESSORS OF LITERACY (ONLINE)



Primary Duties and Responsibilities

The Department of Education Specialties at St. John's University is seeking applications for Online Adjunct Professors to join our esteemed literacy faculty. Responsibilities include teaching fully online doctoral and graduate courses in research, theory, and practice of literacy instruction particularly for diverse learners and with a focus on urban education. The position requires the candidate to actively participate in online course development and pedagogical delivery meeting Quality Assurance Standards.

Qualifications

The positions require an earned doctorate in reading and/or literacy-related field (before start date) with background and experience in teaching reading/literacy in university and/or school settings. Active literacy researchers and practitioners are preferred. Familiarity with and experience using Blackboard is preferred. There are no residency requirements for these positions.

Starting Dates for Positions - May 29, 2018 (summer term) and September 5, 2018 (fall term)
