The Department of Communications at Simmons College invites applicants for our interdisciplinary undergraduate degree program in Public Relations/Marketing Communications. This is a full-time contract faculty position, with a 3/4 course load.

Courses include Introduction to Public Relations, Public Relations Writing, Advertising I & II, and other undergraduate course in the candidate's areas of expertise. At Simmons, contract faculty are full participating members of the department and are expected to advise students. Successful candidates will have:
  • A commitment to excellence in undergraduate education
  • A proven teaching track record that combines theory and practice
  • Experience in developing social media campaigns and using analytics
  • Experience in curriculum development emphasizing integration of communications tools
  • A track record of working effectively across disciplines
  • An understanding of industry best practices and trends

Successful candidates will provide evidence of quality teaching.

Qualifications
  • Master's degree required; PhD preferred
  • Previous teaching experience required
