VAP of Finance

The Freeman College of Management at Bucknell University seeks a full-time, visiting faculty member qualified to teach our regularly scheduled courses in Corporate Finance and Investments. The appointment will start in fall 2018 and last for one academic year (2018-19), with renewal a possibility, contingent on satisfactory performance and administrative approval. The teaching load is six courses per academic year.

The College offers innovative professional education in the context of one of the nation's leading liberal arts universities. We believe that an education that combines technical skills and deep intellectual exploration is the best preparation for thoughtful and capable leaders. We seek faculty members capable of contributing to this mission. To that end, we seek candidates who can demonstrate at least a potential for excellence in undergraduate teaching. We also embrace the teacher-scholar model. Although visiting faculty are not required to engage in research, the College looks with favor on those making creative intellectual contributions to their fields.

Qualified candidates will have completed or be near completion of the Ph.D. degree or equivalent. Persons with substantial professional experience and holding a master's degree will also be considered and are encouraged to apply. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience.

Management Programs at Bucknell
The approximately 550 students in the Freeman College of Management choose from among four highly interdisciplinary programs that combine courses in the various disciplines of management with offerings in the arts, humanities, natural and social sciences, and engineering. The College's four major programs include: Accounting & Financial Management; Global Management; Managing for Sustainability; and Markets, Innovation & Design.
