Position Summary:
The successful candidate will provide administrative support for Outreach Information Services personnel. The candidate will perform many support, fiscal and reporting functions for the unit. Duties include: calendar management; scheduling meetings, implementing university policies and procedures, entering orders into the university purchasing system (HokieMart); tracking and receiving orders; tagging equipment when needed and sending required information to fixed assets; preparing equipment for surplus and filing records once equipment is picked up; phone and monthly departmental fund reconciliations; preparing bill estimates for work recoveries; document preparation; preparing internal communication requests; and other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
Previous administrative or program support experience in a professional environment; previous experience working with purchasing and providing fiscal support; demonstrated experience drafting business documents and or correspondence with strong editing, composing and proofreading skills; demonstrated proficiency with current office computer software including word processing, spreadsheet, database, and general office software skills; knowledge of general office practices and procedures; ability to prioritize and meet deadlines; ability to work with minimal supervision; strong organizational skills; excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience using Banner Finance and HRIS systems; experience utilizing HokieMart or similar program; experience with NI&S COLA system; knowledge of university policies and procedures; experience maintaining web-based information; knowledge of multiple technology packages.
