DESCRIPTION
The Department of Finance at Texas Christian University invites applications for the position of Director of the Luther King Capital Management Center for Financial Studies. The Director also will be an Assistant or Associate Professor of Professional Practice in Finance or Instructor of Finance depending on qualifications.

The Department of Finance has 15 full-time faculty members, who consistently publish in leading finance journals. In past years, members of the Department of Finance have had papers published in the Journal of Finance, Review of Financial Studies, Journal of Financial Economics, Financial Management, Journal of Banking and Finance and other leading journals. The LKCM Center for Financial Studies enhances the quality, prestige, and national visibility of finance programs at the Neeley School of Business by providing research support for faculty and industry partners, and assisting students searching for excellent employment opportunities in finance. Since 1973 the Neeley School has offered the Educational Investment Fund (EIF), a large endowment run entirely by students, offering them valuable investment experience working with fellow students to manage a portfolio of stocks and bonds. REQUIREMENTS
The Director of the LKCM Center for Financial Studies would work with the department chair, dean, finance faculty and board of the Center to promote student activities related to financial education and to build relationships with and programming for the professional financial services industry. The Director would also be a faculty member within the Department of Finance and have teaching responsibilities for undergraduate and/or graduate finance classes. Candidates for an Assistant or Associate Professor of Professional Practice position must have completed a Ph.D. or D.B.A. in Finance or an equivalent discipline. Candidates for the Instructor Position must have completed at least a Master's Degree in business with a focus in finance. Regardless of rank, the applicant for this position should be capable of effectively teaching finance at both the graduate and undergraduate level. Successful candidates will have significant experience in financial services and/or the investments field. This position will be available starting in August 2019.
