Instructor of English

The Department of English seeks to hire two full-time instructors with background to teach general education composition and literature courses. Teaching load: four courses per fall and spring semester. Regular committee work to include undergraduate advising and service on standing department committees. Instructorships are term-limited appointments. Instructors normally receive annual appointments for a period of three years, but in exceptional circumstances may be reappointed for a maximum of three additional annual contracts.

Minimum Qualifications - knowledge, skills, and abilities
At least two years experience teaching English at the college level.

Minimum Qualifications - Education or training
Minimum degree requirements: MA in English or closely related field or MFA in Creative Writing

Minimum Qualifications - Special licenses, registration or certification

Preferred Qualifications
Successful applicants will demonstrate excellence and creativity in the classroom.
