The Department of Languages, Cultures and Linguistics at Bucknell University invites applications for a one-semester position in Arabic Studies at the Visiting Assistant Professor level beginning in January of 2019. PhD (or ABD) in Arabic literature, Arabic linguistics or teaching Arabic as a foreign language (TAFL) is required. Applicants must demonstrate interest in language pedagogy and teaching methodologies. Applicants must have native or near-native fluency in Arabic and English. The successful candidate should also have a strong and demonstrated interest in liberal arts education. Teaching duties will include Arabic language courses at all levels and courses in literature or/and culture. The teaching load is three courses per semester.

In order to be considered for the position candidates will have to submit all application materials before the deadline of March 15, 2018.
