The Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care & Sleep Medicine at the University Of Cincinnati College Of Medicine seek qualified applicants with Pulmonary and critical care expertise to assume directorship of the Medical Intensive Care Unit at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. Qualified candidates can expect inpatient clinical activities to include practicing in the Medical Intensive Care Unit, the Surgical Intensive Care Unit, the Medical Step Down, the Pulmonary Consult and Advanced Diagnostic Pulmonary services.

The Director of the Medical Intensive Care Unit oversees daily operations of the 24 bed MICU within the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. The Director is responsible for promoting high standards of Practice through development of policies, protocols and practice guidelines and participation in performance improvement monitoring. The MICU Director will be responsible for ensuring that fellows, residents and students receive high quality education and training in intensive care medicine. The Director will also be responsible for ensuring that the MICU meets its scholarly mission of conducting federally funded, pharmaceutical and investigator initiated trials.

Minimum Requirements : Applicants for this position must be board certified in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. Applicants for faculty positions must qualify for a full-time faculty position at the rank(s) of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor in the Department of Medicine. Other requirements include board certification in Internal Medicine, ability to obtain an unrestricted Ohio Medical License and DEA license.

Pulmonary faculty at University of Cincinnati Medical Center (UCMC) are expected to contribute to ambulatory and hospital-based care, maintain active engagement in our education and training missions and participate in quality improvement, safety and research projects. New faculty will join an experienced team of pulmonologists.
