Associate Professor of Clinical - Department of Neurosurgery

The University of Cincinnati, College of Medicine, Department of Neurosurgery is seeking a Neurosurgeon to fill a full-time (100% FTE) Associate Professor of Clinical - Geo opening. This position will support the University's mission and commitment to excellence and diversity in our students, faculty, staff and all our activities.

The UC College of Medicine is in a unique position to transition a historically renowned Neurosurgical program into a new integrated academic department focusing on education, research and clinical service.

The Department of Neurosurgery will support the UC Health academic healthcare system, which includes UC Health's flagship hospital, University of Cincinnati Medical Center (UCMC), and West Chester Hospital, as well as the Cincinnati Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, and Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center. UCMC is a 700 bed, Level I Adult Trauma Center with 3 neuro ORs, BrainLab navigation systems, a 20-bed NSICU, 24-hour EEG, Novalis radiosurgery and proton therapy center. The Department of Neurosurgery is a cornerstone of the University of Cincinnati Gardner Neuroscience Institute (UCGNI) whose integrated outpatient clinical practice will be housed in a new 100,000+ square foot ambulatory neuroscience building that is scheduled to be opened in 2019.

This position's primary focus will be clinical practice with a focus in Vascular along with academic clinical teaching of residents and medical students in the Department of Neurosurgery.

Minimum Qualifications : Candidates must be Board Certified in Neurosurgery and eligible for medical license in the State of Ohio.
