Assistant Professor - Emergency Medicine

The College of Medicine, Department of Emergency Medicine is looking to fill a Assistant Professor of Clinical - GEO positions. This position will support the University's mission and commitment to excellence and diversity in our students, faculty, staff and all our activities.

Summary: Clinician/Teacher
a. Demonstrated interest and accomplishment in emergency medicine clinical patient care.
b. Preference will be given to an individual with demonstrated leadership skills; chief residency training or similar accomplishment during residency training is preferred.
c. Demonstration of interest and accomplishment in bedside clinical teaching of medical students and residents (emergency medicine as well as other clinical services) is necessary.
d. Academic productivity such as original research papers, abstracts, and chapters is also preferable.

Minimum Qualifications:
a. Emergency medicine residency training of 4 years or the equivalence by experience.
b. Board Certification in Emergency Medicine or eligibility by training.
c. One-three years in an academic setting or equivalent teaching and research experience.
