Lecturer - STEM Education

Old Dominion University's Department of STEM Education and Professional Studies seeks applications for a full-time Lecturer (10-month appointment with opportunity for summer employment), beginning July 2018. The candidate for this position should expect to develop, revise, and teach undergraduate courses in STEM education, be active in international professional associations, and contribute to the university's service mission. The salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Minimum Qualifications - knowledge, skills, and abilities
Responsibilities include: (1) teaching and developing undergraduate level, face-to-face and distance-education courses; (2) participating in initiatives directed toward program growth and development, (3) provide mentoring and professional development to graduate teaching assistants assigned to teach STEM courses, and (4) work collaboratively with other faculty in the development, design, revision, and implementation of STEM courses.

Minimum Qualifications - Education or training
A Ph.D. or Ed.D. in STEM Education, Instructional Design & Technology or related field is required.

Minimum Qualifications - Special licenses, registration or certification

Preferred Qualifications
Experience and/or ability to work successfully with diverse populations and to prepare others to do so is desired.
