Lecturer - Documentary Film

Job Summary
The John B. Moore Documentary Studies Collaborative (MDOCS) at Skidmore College is seeking one qualified candidate to teach two 3-credit courses in documentary film for the 2018-2019 academic year. The first course, Documentary Storytelling, will teach students the fundamentals of documentary story through treatments, pitches, and editing. The second will be a Special Topics course in the candidate's area of expertise (possible topics include documentary film history/theory, community-based media, world/national cinemas, race/class/gender, 16mm film production, etc.)

2 years' teaching experience at the college level required. PhD, MFA, or equivalent experience preferred. Candidate must be proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro and have skills in story development and/or producing.

Minimum Qualifications
2 years of college teaching
Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and have skills in story development and/or producing.

Preferred Qualifications
PhD or MFA preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
