Assistant or Associate Professor (Tenure Track)

The University of Delaware's School of Public Policy and Administration (SPPA) has been identified by university leadership as a priority for growth and development. UD intends to build upon the School's recognition as a comprehensive location of public affairs that integrates academic excellence with professional practice. The launch of our new Joseph R. Biden Institute will strengthen our role as a driving force in the understanding and analysis of consequential energy and environmental policy solutions. The creation of the Biden Institute, and the focus on energy and environmental policy, will strengthen our tradition of integrating academic excellence with professional practice.

With this mission in mind, the Energy and Environmental Policy (ENEP) Program within SPPA invites applicants to apply for a tenure-track position. The ENEP Program has a distinguished record of research accomplishments and successful alumni worldwide. We offer interdisciplinary undergraduate (BA) and graduate degrees (MEEP/PhD) and we seek candidates that will support both our interdisciplinary teaching and research profile.

The applicant must have a Ph.D. or equivalent from a recognized academic institution and preferably some postdoctoral experience. We will consider applicants from a wide range of academic disciplines although we are particularly interested in scholars who have international experience and are applied policy researchers. The successful applicant will have a strong interest in working with practitioners, as well as establishing research collaborations with other units at UD that have environmental research interests. Tenure track faculty are expected to produce high impact peer-reviewed research, and for this position an existing record of peer-reviewed publications and experience in securing externally funded research is strongly preferred. Successful applicants will teach undergraduate and graduate courses and supervise graduate students. The applicant should also be committed to establishing research collaborations with various other units on campus that have environmental research interests.
