Duties and Responsibilities

The Ithaca Writers Institute, a residential two-week summer writing conference for high school students, seeks four Ithaca College students to serve as Teaching Assistants/Resident Advisors from June 30th to July 13th, 2018. We may ask the students hired to participate in a paid training session prior to the start of the program. Training details will be discussed during the interview process. Pay for TA/RAs is $10.40/hour with a maximum of 37.5 hours per week. Room and partial board are included. Visit www.ithaca.edu/iwi for more information about the Ithaca Writers Institute.

Required Qualifications

Preference will be given to sophomore and junior Writing majors, but all students of sophomore standing with a strong writing background and some experience within the Writing Department are encouraged to apply.

The ideal candidates will be responsible role models, excellent writers, and enthusiastic teachers with expertise in at least two of the following genres:

-Poetry
-Fiction
-Personal Essay
-Sci-Fi/Fantasy
-Literary Magazines
-Editing & Publishing
