POSTDOCTORAL ASSOCIATE, Laboratory for Nuclear Science (LNS), to conduct research with the OLIVIA (Optical LIthium V-mInus-A) experiment, a TPC-based measurement of Lithium-8 beta decay. OLIVIA is a first high-precession low-energy standard-model test using a TPC-based experimental system to measure kinematical correlations in nuclear beta decay. Will be expected to lead all aspects of the project, including supervision of undergraduate and graduate students involved in the experiment, simulation studies, execution of the measurement at the MIT campus, and subsequent data analysis.
