This is a grant funded position and is not eligible for severance pay.

The Lab Technician assists in the design, construction and daily/ weekly lab maintenance tasks in running small devices and bioreactor systems, as well as standardized assays in support of these systems that are widely used in the lab.



Qualifications:

Basic Requirements:

• Minimum requirement is a B.S. in biomedical engineering or bioengineering or related background.
  
• Some biological laboratory experience is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Background in device engineering, mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering, and/or electrical engineering helpful.
  
• Background in device design and fabrication and device maintenance of function under sterile conditions helpful.

Special Work Schedule Requirements:
Some night and weekend commitments, including participation in the administrator-on-call rotation, required.
