4-H Operations and Events Coordinator

Position Summary:
The 4-H Operations Coordinator is an administrative professional faculty position and reports to the State 4-H Program Leader. The position provides leadership to the coordination of logistics for 4-H events, statewide programmatic volunteer screening, and 4-H member/volunteer enrollment. The 4-H Operations Coordinator will work in the State 4-H Office on the campus of Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, VA.

Required Qualifications:
-Earned Master's Degree or combination of Bachelor's Degree and experience in Education, Extension Education, Family and Child Development, Higher Education Administration, Leadership, Youth Program Management or related discipline required.
-Extensive experience in event management and logistics coordination.
-Professional experience with electronic data management systems.
-Position will require a willingness to travel and work nights and weekends as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:
Preference will be given to individuals with:
-Experience in planning and implementing statewide events;
-Proficiency in the use of online data management platforms;
-Experience with volunteer screening processes.
