The Assistant Treasurer for Cash and Investment Services, reporting to the Vice President for Finance and Treasurer, is a key strategic institutional partner whose primary objective is to lead an organization that maximizes economic value committed to the mission of the university.

Responsibilities

  • The Assistant Treasurer will lead an efficient and effective strategy for cash and other sources of liquidity. The successful candidate will lead the development of cash and liquidity forecasts and reports; and the development of multi-year projections in relationship to the university endowment.
  • In partnership with other offices, the Assistant Treasurer will develop policies and procedures to support revenue collection, compliance and reporting. The candidate will lead the development of tools to support timely and efficient cash and credit card processing and analysis. Additionally, the Assistant Treasurer will lead and coordinate banking relationships, including foreign bank accounts and other financial services.
  • The Assistant Treasurer will lead the development of the investment strategy and implementation of the strategy for the Intermediate Term Investment Pool and working capital accounts.
  • The successful candidate will develop strategic proposals to support the capital structure of the university and provide guidance on complex technical projects, business issues and operating investments.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Master's degree strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 to 10 years of progressively responsible investment and treasury functions, and operational management experience in a complex educational, research or other organization.
  • Demonstrated success supervising professional administrative staff.
  • Demonstrated experience with development of varied and complex financial/programmatic analyses and reports in support of strategic decision-making.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively convey complex data to a wide array of audiences.
  • Experienced user and developer of analytical tools and databases.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability with a proven record of success in working with all levels of leadership and staff in a rapidly changing and complex organization.
  • Excellent judgment and creative problem-solving skills.
