Overview
The Center for Health and Wellbeing (CHW) at the Woodrow Wilson School, Princeton University fosters research and teaching on the multiple aspects of health and wellbeing in both developed and developing countries. The center’s goals are to understand the determinants of health and wellbeing and the role that public policy plays in shaping the quality of people’s lives, and to educate undergraduates and graduate students who aspire to careers in health and health policy.
Responsibilities
The Center is seeking applicants for a programmer to work with health claims data in a secure data environment. The work will involve using the claims data to create meaningful health and economic measures, as well as specifying and estimating statistical models. The project aims to develop measures of variation in physician behavior and explore the determinants of physician decision making.
The ideal candidate will have an undergraduate degree in economics and some background working with health data. The candidate should have demonstrated experience collecting and analyzing economic data, as well as a track record demonstrating the ability to work independently.
