The Position:
Applications are currently being accepted for a Senior Human Resources Technician in the Employee Relations Department within the Human Resources Division, located at the District Administrative Offices. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Please note: Selected candidate must be willing to adjust work days/hours based on the department's needs.

Please note that an employee may be transferred to any site at the option of the Chancellor.

This particular assignment is located in the HR Employee Relations Department. This position is responsible for assisting the Director with the administration of job classification and assistance with Labor Relations. Additional qualifications include: Demonstrated knowledge of applicable sections of the California Education Code and other local, State, and federal laws. Demonstrated knowledge of Human Resources policies, practices, and procedures related to Classification and Labor Relations. Demonstrated experience interpreting collective bargaining agreements. Demonstrated experience in basic research procedures and principles, including problem solving and research techniques. Demonstrated experience with general computer operations and platforms and business related applications and database management. Demonstrated ability to analyze data, draw logical conclusions, and make appropriate recommendations. Demonstrated ability to assemble data, prepare correspondence and reports, and communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Any combination of training and experience equivalent to: two years of college with special course work in business administration or human resources management, or a related field and five years analytical and complex technical experience in one or more Human Resources functional areas.

Pay Information:
Range 26 ($4,092.06 $8,205.14) per month based on the current ACE Association of Confidential Employees Salary Schedule

Initial salary placement is commensurate with related experience and promotional rules. The District offers a comprehensive fringe benefit package including employer paid: medical, dental, and vision plans; sick and vacation leave; and opportunities for professional development. Initial Salary Placement in accordance with current practice and policies, Promoted or transferred employees will be placed as specified in the ACE Association of Confidential Employees Handbook. This position is FLSA Non-Exempt and accrues overtime. A temporary probationary period will be applied to the employee entering this assignment.
