Lecturer or Visiting Assistant Professor

Job Summary
Skidmore College invites applications for a three-year, full-time, contingent (non-tenure track) position in Sociology at the Lecturer or Visiting Assistant Professor level, beginning September 2018. We seek applicants to teach courses on introduction to sociology, sexualities, gender, social psychology, deviance and/or medical sociology as well as other substantive areas that complement our departmental offerings.

Ph.D. preferred at time of appointment. Applicants should demonstrate excellence in teaching. Skidmore is on a semester system, and the teaching load will be five courses per year.
